Welcome to Artchew2

I am an artist and photographer working in southeast Qld Australia. As a trained printmaker, I use photography mostly as a creative medium however as you probably know it is a highly versatile medium and is capable of being utilised for a wide range of purposes from scientific analyses through commercial, industrial, documentary and ultimately artistic.

I have a fascination for analogue film based photography and I work also with digital technology, for editing and creative enhancement and manipulation. Sometimes I bring these technologies together resulting in a hybrid art form. I have coined the term co-existant hybridity as it recognises that an image which has been creatively "developed" i.e. pursued in terms of form and material, can have a variety of simultaneous manifestations and a variety of technological influences.
